RE: COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Preparedness Communication

Bear Paw Credit Union is taking the COVID-19(Coronavirus) situation very seriously. Provided below is a summary of our preparedness measures to make sure that all our members financial needs are met, along with making sure our Annual Meeting is conducted in a timely manner.

We are closely monitoring and reviewing updates from federal, state, and local agencies and will follow guidance from health officials. We are also monitoring vendor preparedness. Bear Paw Credit Union Plan specifically addressing pandemic situations which has been reviewed and tested.

The Credit Union has five offices that will be utilized if they are not in a designated quarantine zone. Should a situation arise whereas staff will need to work remotely there will be no change to the way our staff interacts with our membership other than face to face interaction. (The Credit Union encourages the membership that isn’t utilizing our on-line banking to contact us as soon as possible to sign up for that service). If a quarantine of the Credit Union is required staff will be available by phone, through the postal service, Credit Union’s website and staff’s email to make sure our memberships financial needs are met. In addition, our night drops at each office will be available along with our drive-ups at our Havre and Shelby office. The Credit Union has five ATM’s (one in Havre, Chester, Shelby and two in Ft Belknap) for our members.

At this time our currently scheduled Credit Union Annual meeting on April 27, 2020 at MSU-Northern in Havre, Montana at 6:00 P.M. will be held, as planned. Utilize our website for future changes.  

Our combine safety will drive future decisions as we navigate the COVID-19 situation. We will keep you apprised of the updates to our plans, should conditions change. Utilize our website for future changes.
